McLaren 570S in Australia: What to Know Before You Buy

Prices checked Oct 20268 sourcesHow we check facts

The McLaren 570S was the first car in McLaren’s Sports Series. McLaren no longer sells it new. As at 24 October 2026 McLaren lists it under Past Models, and McLaren Australia’s current supercar range is the Artura, Artura Spider, 750S, 750S Spider, 788HS and 788HS Spider. Any 570S you can buy in Australia is a used car.

This guide sets out what McLaren publishes about the 570S, who sells and services McLaren cars in Australia, and what to check before you buy.

These are the figures on McLaren’s 570S page, read on 24 October 2026. The gearbox is McLaren’s own dual-clutch automatic, not a manual. McLaren’s Past Models page also lists the 540C, 570GT and 570S Spider. Their figures differ from the Coupe figures above, so check the model you are looking at.

What it cost new

The launch price below comes from the Australian motoring press of the time, not from a McLaren price list. At a Sydney preview on 23 July 2015, GoAuto reported a $408,000 drive-away price for the 570S, with the 540C at $350,000 and showroom availability from early 2016. That is a drive-away figure from a 2015 report, so it cannot be compared with a later price before on-road costs.

McLaren no longer sells the car new, so there is no current new price. What you pay is a used-car price agreed with the seller.

Who sells and services McLaren cars in Australia

McLaren’s retailer finder lists five Australian retailers as at 24 October 2026. Each is listed for sales and service.

If you live outside those cities, ask the nearest retailer how servicing and warranty work would be handled before you commit.

Buying one: McLaren’s certified route

McLaren runs a Certified Pre-Owned programme, and its Australian page describes these steps and terms:

Ask a McLaren retailer whether a particular 570S can be sold as certified.

Running costs: what is published

McLaren publishes official fuel use of 12.2 l/100 km on the EU WLTP test. At that figure, 10,000 km uses about 1,220 litres. Real use will differ with how the car is driven.

McLaren’s 570S page lists no Australian service, tyre or brake prices. Ask a McLaren retailer for written quotes for a routine service, a set of tyres and a set of brake discs, and get an insurance quote on an agreed-value policy before you buy.
